What we work on

Four kinds of water, one company

Indoor tanks and outdoor water. If it holds water, moves water or is supposed to, it's what we do.

Aquariums

Cleaning, water changes, filtration and equipment checks for home and office tanks — plus troubleshooting when the water or the gear stops behaving. We also take on tanks that have been let go.

Aquarium services

Ponds

Pond cleaning, seasonal care and repair. Pumps, filtration, water flow, debris and buildup. A pond that has been ignored for a few seasons can usually still be brought back.

Pond services

Fountains

Cleaning, maintenance and repair for outdoor and indoor fountains. Pump problems, weak or uneven flow, mineral buildup, staining and ordinary upkeep.

Fountain services

Water Features

Waterfalls, streams, basins and other residential features. Maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, flow problems and restoration of features that stopped working the way they should.

What we do

Clean it. Maintain it. Repair it. Restore it.

Some customers call us once to solve one specific problem. Others hand off the upkeep entirely and stop thinking about it. Both are normal.

Cleaning

Debris, algae, sludge, buildup and staining — removed properly, not just skimmed off the top.

Maintenance

Scheduled care that keeps water clear and equipment running instead of waiting for a failure.

Repair

Pumps, filtration, plumbing lines, leaks and flow problems traced back to the actual cause.

Restoration

Systems that have been neglected for a season or ten years, brought back to working condition.

Before it becomes a bigger problem

Small water problems don't usually stay small

Most of what we get called about started as something minor. Catching it early is generally cheaper, faster and easier on the system than waiting.

  • Water that has gone cloudy, green or dark
  • Algae you can't stay ahead of
  • Weak, uneven or noisy circulation
  • A pump that cycles, hums or moves no water at all
  • A feature that looks a little worse every season
  • A pond or fountain that hasn't been touched in years
  • A system that came with the house and was never explained to you

Recurring maintenance

Enjoy the water. We'll handle the upkeep.

Recurring service may be available for aquariums, ponds and water features, depending on the system and the property. It's the part of the business we expect to matter most, because consistent care is what keeps water clear and equipment alive.

Schedule and scope are set after the initial assessment. We don't put a system on a recurring route before we've seen it.

  • The same system tracked visit to visit, so changes get noticed early
  • Water condition and equipment checked at every visit
  • Problems flagged while they're still small
  • A record of what was done and what we found

Why Rock & River

How we work

Aquatic work is the whole business

We are not a landscaping crew that also does ponds. Water, flow and equipment are what we work on.

We look before we quote

Every job starts with an assessment of your actual system — the water, the plumbing and the equipment.

Written scope, in plain terms

You get a clear description of what is included and what is not before anything starts. Anything outside that scope gets your approval first.

Flow and equipment come first

Clear water usually follows working circulation and filtration. We fix the cause before we treat the symptom.

Recommendations fit the system

We suggest equipment when your system needs it — not because it's the standard upsell.

Your property gets handled carefully

Access protected, tools kept in order, and the site left clean when we finish.

Simple process

Four steps, no mystery

1

Tell Us What's Going On

Send a short description of the system and the problem. A photo helps but isn't required.

2

We Assess the System

We come out and look at the water, the flow and the equipment together, on site.

3

You Receive a Clear Recommendation

A written scope: what we would do, in what order, and what it covers.

4

We Get Your Water Looking and Working Better

We do the work, test the result, clean up, and show you how to keep it that way.

Case studies

Case studies are on the way

We're new, so we're not going to show you someone else's work. As founding-customer projects are finished — and with the owner's permission — we'll publish them here. Real systems, real conditions, and what actually changed.

  1. 01

    The situation

What the owner was dealing with when they called, and how long it had been going on.

  2. 02

    What we found

What the assessment turned up, what we recommended, and what we left alone.

  3. 03

    The result

How the water and equipment ended up, and what keeping it that way takes.

Want your project to be one of the first? Founding customers get a free initial assessment. Featuring a project is always your call — we ask before we publish anything, and we're happy to leave a job off entirely.
